K-os earned his name from his Mom whom alway’s said this room is a mess it’s chaos in here clean it up, K-os is the youngest of 5 he has 1 sister and 3 brothers one of his older brother Ronald whom started rapping at a early age, began to teach K-os he noticed the rapper’s ability it became naturally to him at that point, the Boys would take there allowance & lunch money to buy equipment and mic’s hiding it from there Mom for years, They knew the worst case scenario is she would flip out saying let that rap crap go, she was all about education she has plans for all 5 of her children and with K-os begin the youngest, she wanted him to follow in his brothers foot steps, K-os was Good in track, Excellent Football Star, his mom Planned on him going to college from there to the NFL, K-os felt uncomfortale he was in a situation he didnt know how to get out of. So after Gradating High School he left for Dallas to play College Footbal according to his Mom plans, but his heart was not into playing, he wanted to rap, he knew his mom would send him whatever amount of money as long as he said it was for school & football, so he had a plan, he would call home to tell his mom he needed a book or two for one of his classes, along with his special clets which gave him speed & his signature gloves she would then send him the money, he would then use it to purchase CD’s for his music, his Brother Ron knew what was going on, he called K-os and said it’s a mtter of time before Mom knows what’s going on I think you need to tell her, K-os said not yet let me get my CD done first , Ron said hurry because you know Mom will start asking when do grades come out, she wanted him to major in criminal justice like his sister & brothers & making it to the NFL those were her dreams not K-os. Finally she called his cell phone when he should have been in class he answered not realizing what time of day it was, she asked him way you’re not in class he then admitting his heart is to be a Rap Artist not a Pro Football, she had to accept his dreams, he knew he crushed her to the point she didnt wish to speak with him for awhile she said look at all like chaos. He then took the name as his alias and would use it to create k-os scenarios through his music. Meaning having a good time and partying hard
On February 29th 1992, Truman Medical Center Hospital, K-os was the first leap year baby to be born that year. Being featured in the local newspaper, this was K-os first introduction to the public eye. It would take 7 years before he realized his dreams and gifts as a rapper and song writer.
At the age of 7, K-os was inspired by the work ethic of The”Birdman”A.K.A. Baby & “Will Smith & Sean “Diddy” Combs. Not only did he take interest in the artistic side of the industry, the business side drew him in as well. Now, 12 years later even more eager, he is determined to make a name for himself. Surrounding him self with a strong team, true friends and eventually supportive Mom, K-os is driven to be an entertainer the world can relate to. Some of his influences for both Artistic value and business ethic would include: “The Birdman” a.k.a Baby, Jay-Z, Kayne West, 50 Cent, Ludacris, Eminem, “Lil Wayne”, “Diddy”, and Mathew Knowles.
Believing many Rap artists are working towards a common goal, K-os helps others along on their own musical journey. Writing lyrics for other groups and collaborating with other artist, K-os will soon release his newest mix tape with his group “Middle League”. And with his new single “Check My Swag” the number 1 club banger he can now show his growth what they have been long awaiting for will shows his fans what they have been wahis growth over the years. K-os feels as though he is ready to work professionally. K-os is: “The Next Step” in the music industry” He said I’m not done yet, until then I’ll do it like I’m close enough”.
